Cellar & Table began with a longing for the kind of place you remember by feeling.

A room glowing softly at the end of the day. The clink of a glass. Bread still warm from the kitchen. Herbs, wine, candlelight and conversation. A bottle opened for the table. A plate passed from one hand to another.

That feeling has found a home in downtown Sanford, North Carolina.

Created by owner Nikki Stanger, Cellar & Table brings together a wine bar, small-plates kitchen and bottle shop inspired by the neighborhood wine bars and taverns of Europe. Wine is at the heart of the experience, alongside thoughtfully made cocktails, beer, and a seasonal menu shaped by local farmers, producers and ingredients from our region.

Above all, Cellar & Table was created with community in mind. A neighborhood place for a glass, a shared plate, dinner with friends, discovering a new bottle, or seeing a familiar face. A place to gather around the table for tastings, classes, special events and experiences designed to make wine, food and good company something to be shared.

As Sanford continues to grow, we’re proud to bring something new to the table while creating a place that feels like it has always belonged here.
